The 27 Best AI Tools
(Not 4,000 useless ones.)

The only AI tools you need.
There are thousands of AI tools.
And hundreds more release everyday.
You cannot use all of them (don’t even try).
So use the best of the best instead.

Chatbots

ChatGPT. The AI everyone knows. Can do almost anything if you’re willing to learn to prompt. The ability to use custom GPTs is a game changer. You can use them to replace many third party tools.
Anthropic Claude 3 Opus. The smart one. Among the smartest AI chatbots (for now) and fantastic for coders. It’s new, so many tools are still in development. (Some users have trouble creating an account.)
Microsoft Copilot. Literally a free ChatGPT4. No custom GPTs though.
Gemini. Last place but still solid. Gemini is very good at many things, but it has less utility than other options.
Note: Most third party AI tools simply call back to ChatGPT or Claude anyway. While those tools can be immensely useful for their user interface, going straight to the source gives you way more utility. It’s better to use one of these AI chatbots for most of your tasks than using a hundred small tools.
Content Generators

Jasper. Most well known content writer for a reason. It’s the best content generator for most businesses. Easy to use and reasonably priced.
Anyword. The best AI copywriter out there (still have a copywriter go over it though).
Byword. Article writing for SEO (Google’s cracking down though).
Content Repurposing

Vidyo: Creates short videos from long form ones.
Wondercraft. Turns your writing into a podcast.
Spreadsheets

Numerous.ai. The easiest-to-use Excel and Sheets plugin.
Equals. Spreadsheets for data analysis (great for startups).
Online Meetings and Recordings

Fireflies.ai. Record and transcribe online video meetings with AI features.
Metaview. Writes recruiting notes for you.
Personal Productivity

Rewind AI. Remembers everything on your screen and audio for you. Then you can ask it questions, like what you did earlier today that you’ve forgotten. Can also automate note taking. Very useful as a second brain.
Mem.ai. Personalized organization app, but requires some commitment and setup.
Video and Audio Editing

Descript. An audio/video editing tool anyone can use. Can edit video and create voice clones. Extremely easy to use.
Adobe Podcast. Powerful audio cleanup tool and it’s free. Can remove background noise and generally make you sound better.
Image Generators

Midjourney. Best in class. Start here. Everyhting else is still catching up. Midjourney can create consistent characters, consistent artstyles, and will eventually have a video model available. The discord interface sucks, but a full web interface with more intuitive design is in testing.
Adobe Firefly. AI images for creatives. Can alter images, change colors, etc. No copyright headaches. While you can create new images from scratch, Firefly is best used when you are using AI to add or change things in real images. Really impressive stuff and immensely useful.
Stable Diffusion. Train your own AI for image creation. Way less user friendly and requires you to run the program on a powerful computer. But you can make anything. No censorship. You can train the AI to specialize in specific areas like facial recognition. Consistent characters are also possible. This is where fake instagram models and NSFW AI content comes from. Also has a video model.
Slide Decks

Gamma. Presentation, documents, and slides without coding. Uses AI to generate webpages and slide presentations. Very handy and easy to use. Cheap monthly fee if it’s useful for you. Works great if your slides are a form of content and you need to make them quickly.
Tome. AI slides with a focus on idea communication. Keeps things very simple. Best used if you want simple slides and don’t care much about layout.
Customer Support

Chatbase. Integrates ChatGPT into your website to handle customer service and answer customer questions. This is essentially a smart chatbot that acts as customer service. Very useful for any business.
PDF and Documents

ChatPDF. The best for the moment. Allows you to use a chatbot with a PDF.
NotebookLM. Free AI document management. US only for the moment. From Google.
Note: You can also upload documents and PDFs to chatbots like ChatGPT and ask questions about the document. It kinda… cuts out the middleman here. But these programs can be more user friendly and contain additional features.
Synthetic Voices

Elevenlabs. Best in class AI voices (for now). You could voice an animated series with this. Really high quality.
Pipio. Voice over dubs. Also modifies the video to match the lip syncing. Can change languages as well.
